Okay, so I only just set this thing up today and i'm already posting a second blog.
Part One
US election
But this is something I feel is a serious issue right now.
That is - the US presidential election.
I'm not going to pretend I know anything about the whats going on.
So this is just my opinion on everything I do know, and I welcome anyone who reads this to send inform me where I've gotten my facts wrong.
Here in England we have a lot of problems, house prices plummeting, teenagers getting stabbed on the street (in my old home town, Edmonton, the crime rate has gotten so high most people won't leave their homes alone), the credit crunch, the Iraq war and unemployment at its highest number in 20 years... And whilst all this is going on, we have the most important election in US history going on over the Atlantic.
For the most part I ignored the election... I mean it doesn't affect us over here does it?
Well actually, yes it does.
England needs America's protection. Most English people won't admit it, but it's true. The fact is most of the world hates us, and the only thing stopping them attacking us is the fear of a retaliation from the US.
In short, our prime minister has his lips placed firmly on the president backside.
So any decision made in America WILL effect us over here. Will it be for better worse? Will we follow suit and soon be seeing a black prime minister?
Either way, the old times are coming to an end. Soon enough it'll become obvious whether we're heading for Dysotopia or Utopia.
To be honest I don't feel like I know enough about the subject to explicitly make any real valid points, but from what I do know, I feel Barack Obama will be a good president, and will be exactly what the world needs after the legacy of George Bush.
Part Two
Russel Brand And Jonathon Ross
Oh god...
Can you say 'blown out of proportion'.
Seriously.
Watch that.
Thats ALL!?
Seriously. Its just a joke.
Russel Brand and Jonathon Ross are two of the best british comedians at the moment.
They work well together.
And the tabloid newpapers are dead set on crushing everything we hold dear.
Honestly... us british boast that we're the intellectuals of the world, and yet in the week that America (whom we often riddicule for being intolerent) elect the first black president we chastise two of our biggest television personalities for making a prank call.
erm... okay. So what about the hit e4 show Fonejacker? (which I think is genious if you're interested)
The inconisistancy with this story is striking.
So they invaded his privacy? and taking candid pictures of celebrities on holiday isn't?
So celebrities don't deserve preferential treatment? then why is Andrew Sachs being made out to be a hero while if it had just been a random person they had rung, this whole thing would have been forgotten about the next day
